Well let me tell you about my Fitnance experience...I started a 12 week challenge with Fitnance in March 2009, never really expecting to complete the 12 weeks as I have never completed any of the dozens of gym memberships I have joined in the past. After being weighed in and having my skin folds done, 97kg and 273mm respectively, the workouts started. I think it is a good time to point out that this is where Fitnance is different. From workout number one there was one-on-one guidance and encouragement and just an overall feeling that the staff were really interested in seeing my fitness improve. Sure for the first couple of weeks there was the muscle soreness in the morning but again the Fitnance staff instructed the best stretching exercises etc to help with this. After the first 6 weeks I could feel the difference in my fitness levels, not to mention body shape, not to mention I was really starting to enjoy my gym sessions and would really get irritated if I missed one. Who would have thought that I was developing into a gym junkie. Well its now approaching 12 months, I still try to do 3-4 sessions a week and cannot see a time when this will not be part of my routine. My weight is down to 92kg and skin folds 130mm but with out doubt the biggest benefit would be my insulin levels, being a type 1 diabetic my units of insulin required have halved I have the best control I have ever had, and health a fitness wise I am feeling fantastic. Just a note I was never a sporting type of person or a fitness fanatic and if you had told me 12 months ago I was a gym regular I would have laughed but anyone can do this with Fitnance's help. I have recently purchased a racing bike and have started riding 30km three times a week. I'm now aiming to complete the 100km Brisbane to Gold Coast bike ride in October. " It is a little over 6 months since my first session with you all at Fitnance and I thought I would just send through a short note to say thanks for all your help in that time. When I started I was 132.5 kgs in weight and would be short of breath tying up my shoe laces. After having a previous boss of mine suggest that I shouldn't allow myself to be defined by my weight I thought I would bite the bullet and do something about it. I hadn't worked out in a gym in my entire 47 years and I was a bit apprehensive about what it would be like, but you all made me welcome and the rest of the crew that trains at Fitnance were a good bunch as well. Even though my lifestyle of corporate lunches and travel make the job of losing weight and increasing fitness very challenging your variety of tailored programs have seen me drop close on 20 kilos, over 15 cm in my waist and I can now go for a 5 km jog without passing out.
